Giovanni Lazzaro has been working in Padova since 1987 and in the atelier located in Via Bezzecca since 1991. Giovanni makes, restores, and sets-up stringed instruments. Along with a passion for the beauty and art of the luthiers’ craft, Atelier Lazzaro always provides optimum quality work and stays abreast of the latest developments in the field in order to offer the best service to their clientele.

In business now for over twenty years, the success of Atelier Lazzaro has allowed Giovanni to take on two young luthiers as assistants: Alberto Cassutti and Francesco Piasentini. The goal of the staff at Atelier Lazzaro is to work methodically and with an eye towards the constant refinement of their skills and the application of the most advanced methods of analysis, conservation and restoration.

Our staff is continually expanding their knowledge base through consultation with others well known in the field and by attending professional workshops and seminars both in Italy and abroad. In addition, we are fortunate to work in close collaboration with many outstanding musicians from around the world who share their first hand experience and feedback from the field.
